Lisbon is the capital of Portugal and is one of the top cities in Europe to visit.
If you created a city-break destination from a wishlist you would get Lisbon with its wide river, steep cobbled streets, palaces, churches, a castle, tiles in pink, mint and indigo, and cheap, fresh, grilled sardines to eat outside a tasca(bar) in the sun. It’s a place so beautiful you can’t believe people are using it to live in. And Lisbon is decidedly lively. Every year it seems there is more to do, more to eat and more distance to cover.
While you are in Portugal there is no way you can miss it.
The trip will enter the city from the impressive 25th of April suspension bridge (with magnificent views).
The visit includes: Belém Tower; Jerónimos Monestary; Monument of Discoveries; Alfama(old jewish sector) and St. Georges Castle. Free time to do some shopping and wonder around downtown is also included. Entrance to museums or monuments is optional and fees are not included.
Return to Algarve via the Vasco da Gama Bridge which is one of the longest bridges in Europe.
The trip leaves the Algarve in early morning (between 5am and 7am), with approximately 5 hours of exploration in Lisbon and returns to the Algarve between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm. All times are estimates and subject to change.
Pickups are available directly from (or near) your hotel or villa between Praia da Luz and Quinta do Lago (including Albufeira, Alvor, Armação de Pêra, Carvoeiro, Lagos, Portimão, Quarteira, Vilamoura).
